Principal's Message

Our showcase of student talent in the musical ‘Footloose’ was a wonderful start to Term 3 and I am sure that everyone associated with the Arts enjoyed the performances of the entire cast, the skills of our student production crew and the dedication of our staff team. This term is also a key planning time
in our yearly calendar and for Year 10 students we introduce a compulsory pathways meeting in which every Year 10 student and their parent/caregivers will have a personal meeting with us to assess achievement levels and to select subjects for Year 10/11. This meeting is so significant that no current student will be enrolled into Year 11, 2010, unless this meeting has occurred. We look forward to using our online booking system again to arrange these appointments for families.

Benowa Expo was another great opportunity for parents and students to access information about the range of subjects on offer in our school for 2010,
special thanks to the staff and students who helped to make the evening such a success.

In May this year the Principal position at Benowa was reclassified Executive Principal based on the sustained growth and student numbers in the school and was subsequently advertised for commencement in Semester 2. I would like to thank the P&C and staff for their support in the recent application process
and I feel privileged to be in the school in this new capacity.
